Welcome

Hi I am a hunter from Portugal recently moved to Greece for a new job in the diplomatic sphere. I would love to know more about hunting in Greece both small and big game. Also interested in dogs especially epagneul breton and springer spaniel. Best. Joao
Hi Joao and welcome to our forum and country. Hunting of big game is very limited in Greece. Basically only wild boar . It is not difficult to learn our hunting legislation though. I assume you leave in Athens, right? In any case feel free to ask anything you want. :)

Welcome Nikolay...
Would you like to share with us,what are you hunting for and in which areas do you usually hunt in Bulgaria?
I had been once in Varna and it's the only place that i 've visited in your country...
Hello Todoris, actually im not a hunter. My passion is fishing. This year i had luck to meet few not so big amberjacks and mahi mahi in the Trikeri region. That crazy fishes just get me on fire for mediterainian species of fishes. Black sea is not so rich of fishes, especially for spining.

What technique do you prefer mostly for fishing?

In Evoia island and specifically in north Evoian gulf,i meet a lot of Bulgarians every year, who either live there permantly or they come for holidays and all of them, fish with shore jigging style...
These anglers, usually target bonitos, amberjacks and albacores...
On the other hand, mahi mahi is a pretty rarely species at these waters,in recently years...

Take into consideration, that Trikeri region and all the area around,is famous for bluefishes, which sometimes are big enough, about 2 or 3 kilograms or more...
